Weeks have gone by and I am quite behind on my 100 Day Project, but I am still chugging along. I have honestly gotten a lot out of it because it is making me quicker to begin drawing. Still a lot of drama goes on in my head (but WHAT do I draw? I have already drawn that before, etc, etc) but more drawing has been getting done. I am still feeling inspired by it and interested in where 100 "days", really 100 drawings, will take me. I am trying to let myself be repetitive, and let myself draw what feels easy, rather than not draw at all because I am thinking too much.
Pictured above is my new sketchbook. I couldn't resist it, it is an antique letter book from an insurance agent from 1908. I couldn't get it out of my head, and I went back to the store and bought it.
My most exciting discovery has been that I love to draw with graphite onto tracing paper. I think the next sketchbook I make will be all tracing paper.
This painting, above, is one I made about 5.5 years ago. Somehow I still like it and I keep it in my living room.
