Hi.

I'm Cait Sherwood, a mixed-media painter who works into art journals.

I make art from the trash of the art I made before.

Week 51
  • Things have been generally good lately, though I have been sick and feeling like shit.  I have still been waking up early to do art journaling first thing.  I think this habit is really here to stay, which I am happy about.  It's nice to stick to things.  I'm sure it won't be dreamy anymore at some point but I am happy to keep it going now.
  • Here are some art journal pages I made this week:
Gouache, water-soluble pencil, more gouache.

Glued an onion net down with matte medium.  It took a few different layers, letting them dry in between to make it really stick.  Then I painted it white once that dried.

Ripped the paper off some collages on wood I had made, and glued those thin paper pieces into my journal.
