Now I'm just a few days away from the end of my month-long journaling commitment. I am pretty sure I am going to continue this daily practice.
This spread is made of a transparency I made to make a silkscreen from. I was planning to make this wiggly pattern into a wrapping paper this past holiday season, but I didn't. But I had fun using matte medium to brush these see-through vellum layers into my journal. Brushing with matte medium is like gluing something down. (I am a screen printer.)
Oh, and with a similar color palette, here is a collage of patterns with a xeroxed photo of Lee Miller. I made all the patterns pictured, using ink and then digitally manipulating the drawings in Illustrator, & then printing them out onto vellum.
All were attempts to make gift wrap patterns. Some make the cut. You can see at the top of this next page, a spotted orange and yellow pattern--I screen printed that. It's a gift wrap scrap. Also, the golden hands on black paper in the center, the pink spotted pattern on black, and the eyeball patterns are screen printed designs.
